Environmental Management - Community Engagement - Photojournalism - Storytelling
Whether in my academic work, photojournalism, or community outreach and engagement, I strive to find the integration of and harmony between human communities and the natural environment that we rely upon. I am most concerned with the ways in which novel climate conditions are affecting the ability of social and ecological (or social-ecological) systems to thrive. I hope that my work can reveal the challenges, yet also the opportunities associated with adapting to these changes so that we can work toward a more resilient and prosperous future.
"If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them” - Thoreau, Walden
